LandTheRole is operated by Horizon Frame Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16132455). Registered office: 85 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 7LT.

By accessing or using LandTheRole ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

LandTheRole is a job search management platform that provides:

• Job application tracking and organization
• AI-assisted company research and insights
• CV/Resume management and optimization tools
• Contact and networking management
• Career profile building
• Cover letter generation
• Interview preparation and coaching
• LinkedIn profile optimisation
• Salary research and negotiation preparation

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Credits System

Our platform uses a credit-based system for AI features:

• Credit Purchases: Credits are digital content delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing a purchase, you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for credits that have been used. Unused credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@landtherole.co.uk
• Credit Usage: Credits are consumed when you use AI features such as company research, CV optimisation, and contact research
• Failed Operations: If an AI operation fails or yields minimal results, credits are refunded to your account
• Credit Expiry: Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active
• No Cash Value: Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other users

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Upload malicious code or harmful content
• Scrape or collect data from the Service without permission
• Create multiple accounts to abuse credit systems or promotions
• Share your account credentials with others

6. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate content including but not limited to tailored CVs, cover letters, company research, interview preparation, profile summaries, salary insights, and career recommendations. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AI-Assisted, Not AI-Authored: All AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and drafting aid. It is your responsibility to review, verify, and edit all AI-generated content before using it in any job application, interview, or professional context.
• No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, outdated information, or inappropriate suggestions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any purpose.
• Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any content you submit to employers, recruiters, or third parties, including content derived from or based on AI-generated suggestions. You should always verify that the content accurately represents your skills, experience, and qualifications.
• No Professional Advice: AI-generated content does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or employment guidance. The Service is a tool to assist your job search and should not replace professional judgement or independent verification.
• Third-Party Data: Research and insights may include information from publicly available sources and third-party providers. We do not control the accuracy of third-party data and are not responsible for errors originating from external sources.
• No Employment Guarantee: Use of our AI features does not guarantee job interviews, offers, or employment outcomes. Results depend on many factors outside our control including market conditions, employer preferences, and individual circumstances.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LandTheRole and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your content (profile data, CVs, job information) remains yours, but you grant us a license to use it to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We disclaim all warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any content or information provided through the Service.

Your Statutory Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. Any limitations in these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LANDTHEROLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
